Update

It's been a fun summer. It has finally warmed up and stopped raining. We had a great 4th of July weekend with the family. We were able to go to the Sandy parade and have lunch at Grandma Audrey and Les's house. Then finished up the night at Tank's 4th birthday party. It was so much fun. Isaac loved all the fireworks till bedtime kicked in.
We've finally been able to get out and go swimming. Ike is loving the water now and can't get enough. We do miss our pool buddies Jay and Heather!

The day has come! Isaac has discovered that his nose has holes. He thinks its so funny to stick his finger in his nose. Luckily he doesn't understand whats up there! I couldn't stop laughing. We love our little Ike!

Summer Fun

Summer is in full swing now...other than the rain that hasn't stop since the beginning of June. It feels like we are in Oregon and highest temperature has been maybe 75 degrees. I am waiting for the warm weather to get here. We had quite a few birthdays in the last month. Hailey celebrated May 25Th, Coleman and Frank were the 29Th, and Richard was June 1st. It has been fun to see everyone. For Coleman's birthday we surprised him with a new grill. Of course you get the grill, skip the cake and ice cream because all the men were outside putting it together. Later that week we said goodbye to our good friends Jay and Heather and little Gwen who moved back to Oregon. We sure miss them already.
This summer we decided to get a zoo membership. Ike loved seeing all the animals. I am excited to bring him back again through the summer. Ike just recently completed his Little Gym course. He loved going every Friday. He loved learning all the skills and loved his teacher Miss Kim. He's almost got his somersault down perfectly and loves to say " i did it." I'm sad its over because I'm not sure what our summer activity is going to be, an ideas?
For the next two weeks Wes and Page are in Japan and so we have Amelia with us. Then next week we get to have Ethan for a few days while Richard and Austin go to Chicago. We are excited to have both of them with us.

Our trip to Oregon

We were able to travel to Oregon for a good week and half for my sisters wedding. We headed out early for Coleman to do some work on a friends house. The first few nights we stayed with the Strasburgs and got to spend some good quality time with the family(Thanks Allyson). We stayed with my dad the rest of the time. Angelie and Richard arrived Friday and the work began. A bridal shower with Carolyn Dejong on Saturday, Church with mom on Sunday, dinner with my dads family Sunday night. We finally got to meet Richards parents. Such a sweet family. Monday was a run around day and visit people in town. Monday night was Angelie's bachelorette party at the Gibbs home. Tuesday morning I hosted a breakfast bridal shower at the Cadillac Cafe downtown. Seriously the best French Toast ever accompanied with a big mug of hot cocoa. Tuesday night family pictures following the wedding dinner held at the Sivertson's home. (Thanks for all your help Sivertson Family). Wednesday was wedding day. It was pouring down rain, which a week earlier had said it was going to be 70 degrees. I don't know why I had trusted the news to be true. But by the time the sealing was done there were breaks of sunshine. It was so pretty there. On with the day....luncheon at the church to finish setting up. I had to make a DVD of their pictures from childhood and their wedding in Holland (It's a long story, Angelie will you post that?). Reception at 6:30pm and clean up till 10pm. Overall it was a beautiful wedding and we were so glad that we could be able to go back home and stay long enough to enjoy it. Thursday all the Linthorst's headed to Seaside. I rented a house right there in Seaside right on the promenade. It was beautiful and we got so lucky with the weather on Friday. We went a fed the seals at the Aquarium, went shopping, strolled main street, and just relaxed. Saturday was rainy so we headed to Tillamook Cheese Factory. Sunday we headed out and flew home that evening. Wow it was a busy week but are glad to be home and settled in. We are looking forward to summer and the warm weather. Happy Mothers Day momma's!
