My favorite visitor!

My bff Beth came to town at the end of August. It was so nice to have her there with her adorable little boy Beck. It was much needed girl time. She help me get so much accomplished, blessing dress, announcements, and family pictures. I haven't felt that productive in quite awhile. We were lucky enough to have her take Brooklyn's pictures and our family pictures. They turned out gorgeous and we haven't stopped raving about them since. We miss her and her Little boy so much already and can't wait for our next trip together. We had so much fun and can't thank her enough for all she has done. Here is a sneak peek at her gorgeous pictures!

Isaac is already missing his new friend Beck!

I can't get enough of this little boy..he is going to be a lady killer. Look at those eyes!

Family Comes to Town

We were so excited because a week after Brooklyn's arrival, all the Linthorsts came to visit. Dave and Erin came into town first, following my mom, and then Ange and Richard. Trev came later that weekend. We had so much fun having my mom stay with us and having all the family over all the time. It was much needed family time. The new cousins finally got to meet and play. We also were able to fit a few activities even though I was quite distant with the new baby. We miss everyone already.

Frank got out his climbing gear and let all the kids repel down the tree. Ike loved climbing the ladder but wasn't sure about the repelling part.

Ike helped me make chocolates one afternoon!

Linthorst cousins finally all together!

Can't forget a picture our little Brooklyn!

2 weeks

I can't believe our little Brooklyn is already 2 weeks old and she is changing little by little each day. I love this stage, don't get me wrong it is hard with a unpredictable sleeping schedule and the fact that both my kids came down with a small cold. She is such a little tiny still. She dropped almost a pound from her birth weight but at her 2 week appt yesterday she is now 7 lbs 11 oz. She is a very healthy girl other than some tummy issues. They have put me on a no dairy diet to see if its the cows milk that is getting to her. Hopefully it doesn't last long. We love having her and can't imagine life without her already!

Summer Projects

I have been keeping myself busy through the summer getting the baby's room ready. We moved into this house in February and the spare room was an old school den. The challenge of this room was its walls were covered in old school wood paneling. We didn't want to spend much money on remodeling so we decided to go with paint. I wanted to have my glider reupholstered but I am happy with the final product. I also started another quilt from fat quarters my sister-in-law sent me last year. I just added a few fat quarters of pink and found a cute new pattern. I finally finished the quilt top and found my back fabric. It's being quilted right now so I don't have a picture of the final product but its pretty close.
We are getting excited for this little girl to come. I am being induced on Tuesday the 27Th, one week from today. I am so ready and done being prego. I lucked out and got to go in the day after my birthday so we wont have to share the same birthday.
We are getting excited to see all the family that is coming to town in a few weeks.

Hope everyone has a great week and hopefully the next post will be of our little girly!

A little bigger picture of what the quilt top looks like. I used 18 different fat quarter fabrics.

4th of July

It was nice to have such a long weekend for the 4Th of July. Saturday we just spent the day relaxing and getting things ready for the baby's arrival. Sunday we went over to the Radford's for a great lunch and then headed to the Linthorst's for dinner and a firework show. Dinner was great and every year my brother Frank goes all out for with the fireworks. Every neighbor comes to watch but this year we sat inside the house watching Toy Story. Our son is officially a wimp this year. He couldn't handle the noise either. Hopefully next year he has grown out of it. But other than that everything was great!
Coleman's sister Hailey left for her mission on Wednesday, she is serving in Tacoma, Washington. We miss her already but know she will be a great missionary!
We are getting closer to the arrival of our baby girl. I am scheduled to be induced around the 24Th of this month but will know for sure the day and time tomorrow. It may just end up we share the same birthday. I am just ready and done being prego. I can't grow anymore I swear!

Waiting for the fireworks to start but quickly having a meltdown once we got the "pop its" out!

Ike an Ethan playing around! Such cute boys!

Enjoying the sun at Cowabunga Bay.

Ike misses his Aunt Hailey!

And Ike loves to play Captain Hammer..its a character off a backyardigans show. He is such a nut!

Garden

I am so glad we decided to plant a vegetable garden. All the hard work and patience is starting to pay off. Everything is growing and some veggies we have already been able to enjoy. We can't wait for late summer/ early fall to see what else comes up.
