Our trip to New York was amazing. Wes and Page took us back to see Coleman's mission and for some site seeing. It was so cool, so much bigger than I thought and millions of people. We were able to go to a few Spanish speaking wards on Sunday and see some of the old members Coleman knew from his mission. We were able to visit one of his converts Alberto. Alberto and his daughter Rosa lived in Brooklyn. They were so nice to let us come to visit them. Rosa has lived in the US for 1 year. She moved to Brooklyn from Columbia and has been learning English. We were all very impressed with her English. We hope they come to visit us soon!
We were able to visit so many things. I would have to say my favorite part was the Broadway show Xanadu with
Whoopi Goldberg as the guest for the month of August. It was hilarious. I was crying from laughing so hard the entire time. It was definitely a must see!
I won't go into detail with everything so here are all the fun pictures we took. It was definitely worth every penny. We are glad we went, sad to leave Ike behind, but grateful for the experience.

Coleman and I at Serendipity's..the biggest desserts ever.
They had a $22 banana split..we got the cowards portion for half the price and it was still huge.

Dylan's candy bar...so much candy!

Wes and the first hot dog of many to be
eatin from the vendors.

We went to Madame
Tussaud's Wax museum in Time Square..pretty amazing wax figures. Elton John was my favorite.

Jessica Simpson looked pretty real.

Coleman was a speedy the whole time..always 20 feet in front of us.

We took this night harbor tour of the island and this was a cool view of where the twin towers use to be...there is just a big whole between the buildings. Construction on the new ones have already started and are suppose to finish 2012.

This wall mural was cool and really colorful.
