Pumpkin Patch
Last Saturday we all went out to a pumpkin patch by Wes and Page's house. It was so much fun to take Ike for his first pumpkin hunt. We went with Amelia, Page, and Wes and came out with some great pumpkins. Unfortunately this weekend they were stolen from our front porch. So sad! We are still going to have a great Halloween and can't wait for this Friday to get here! Hope everyone has a fun Halloween! Can't wait to see all the costumes!

Isaac turns ONE!
Our little Ike is ONE! We can't believe it, a whole year has passed. Oct 24Th, 2007 our little Ike was born at 7:13pm. We had a family celebration for him on Friday. It was so much fun to have everyone there to celebrate his special day. We had a ball theme party for him since balls are his favorite toy lately. It was so much fun to see everyone . Our little Ike was quite spoiled but can't get enough of all his new toys and clothes. I might have to take Rachel's advice and hide a few of the toys for and bring them out later. Thank you all for coming!

Tricky Treat!
A few weeks ago Adrianne showed me this really cute recipe for mini caramel apples. I decided to test them out and see how they held up. They turned out so cute and so yummy. I had chocolate dipped, peanut butter dipped, white chocolate dipped, and caramel dipped apples. I rolled them and drizzled them with everything yummy. I stumbled upon one problem...why didn't the caramel stay on the apples? It slid off to puddle at the base of the apples. I believe they won't stick because there are no skins on the apple. I used a melon baller to get the tiny apple. Everything else took very well. Anyone have any advice on keeping the caramel on the apple? They are very delicious and were fun to make.

Fall is finally here!
I know that nobody else is excited for summer to leave and fall to start but I can't wait! We had a great summer with so much going on. My favorite Holiday's are just around the corner and I am looking forward to Ike turning ONE! He is such a big boy! It's amazing how fast they change. I love how interactive he is now. Here are a few pictures of our big boy and the remaining days of our fun summer.

Ike has finally discovered his rocking chair grandma Mary made for him. He loves it and feels so big!

This was the outfit Coleman got Ike in New York.

I love this picture because you can finally see his two bottom teeth when he smiles.

Ike and Coleman messing around.

This has been Ike's favorite toy. He walks all around the house with it...but he still refuses to walk by himself.

Here is a super cute picture of Ethan (Austin and Richards little boy)

I love this picture, he looks like he's going to attack us.

This is so scary but he doesn't care what it is, he climbs up on everything. This is how I caught him watching tv.

A few weeks ago Wes got out his potato gun... all of you who attend Gresham South Stake girls camp would remember the potato gun that Wes and Grant Widmer would shoot in the middle of the field. It was so much fun! A little windy that day we went out but we did make barbie soar with her parachute.

Ike and Amelia trying to get a hold of her hair. It was so windy!

Ike was officially in a bigger car seat the beginning of September. He loves it except figuring out how to sleep without his head in his lap.

For the Edgewood Summer party we all went to the Dew Tour. It was such a fun night. Here is the group picture of all the Edgewood guys. I love Jeremy's face in this picture...he looks so comfortable snuggled with Scott.

Ike was so into the BMX Free style event. He kept pointing but manage to keep that darn bink in the whole time!

New York New York!
Our trip to New York was amazing. Wes and Page took us back to see Coleman's mission and for some site seeing. It was so cool, so much bigger than I thought and millions of people. We were able to go to a few Spanish speaking wards on Sunday and see some of the old members Coleman knew from his mission. We were able to visit one of his converts Alberto. Alberto and his daughter Rosa lived in Brooklyn. They were so nice to let us come to visit them. Rosa has lived in the US for 1 year. She moved to Brooklyn from Columbia and has been learning English. We were all very impressed with her English. We hope they come to visit us soon!
We were able to visit so many things. I would have to say my favorite part was the Broadway show Xanadu with Whoopi Goldberg as the guest for the month of August. It was hilarious. I was crying from laughing so hard the entire time. It was definitely a must see!
I won't go into detail with everything so here are all the fun pictures we took. It was definitely worth every penny. We are glad we went, sad to leave Ike behind, but grateful for the experience.

Coleman and I at Serendipity's..the biggest desserts ever.
They had a $22 banana split..we got the cowards portion for half the price and it was still huge.

Dylan's candy bar...so much candy!

Wes and the first hot dog of many to be eatin from the vendors.

The view from our hotel on 40th and 5th ave.

We went to Madame Tussaud's Wax museum in Time Square..pretty amazing wax figures. Elton John was my favorite.

Jessica Simpson looked pretty real.

Coleman and his girl Jennifer Aniston.

Coleman was a speedy the whole time..always 20 feet in front of us.

Coleman and Time Square.

Time Square at night at the end of the strip. This is where they drop the ball every year.

We stayed 3 blocks from the Empire State Building.

Central Park from the Empire State Building.

The Statue of Liberty in the distance.

Coleman looking over Brooklyn, Queens, and Flushing.

Me on top of the Empire State Building.

The spire on top of the Empire State Building.

The St. Patrick's Cathedral right across the street from Rockefeller Plaza.

Grand Central station with the Chrysler Building in the background.

The Chrysler Building at night.

We took this night harbor tour of the island and this was a cool view of where the twin towers use to be...there is just a big whole between the buildings. Construction on the new ones have already started and are suppose to finish 2012.

Famous Coney Island on the beaches of Brooklyn.

This wall mural was cool and really colorful.

Coleman and I at one of the stake centers in Brooklyn.

This was the view from the Statue of Liberty looking back at lower Manhattan.

The Brooklyn Bridge during our night harbor cruise.

Coleman took this cool picture of the Statue of Liberty with the sun setting,

This is the twin tower globe with the eternal flame. This is Battery Park in lower Manhattan.

This is a driving range right on the Hudson River.

Wes, Page, Coleman, and I at the Statue of Liberty.

Coleman and I at the Manhattan, New York temple.

The temple was built inside an office building. The first two floors are chapels and the temple are the last few floors.

Here is Coleman and Alberto

A blurry picture but its Rosa, Me, Coleman, and Alberto.

The Museum of Natural History. This is where Night at the Museum was filmed. They were filming the second Night at the Museum while we were there.
