It's a Girl!

We are so excited to announce we are having a little girl. We are so excited! Sorry it took me so long to post but my computer died last week and I just got it back, hurray!

We can't wait for this little girl to get here, which I shouldn't be getting too excited with my due date not being till August 5th. I am excited for all the girly shopping and getting to decorate a little girls room.
Have a great week!

Cravings

So far is this pregnancy, not that I'm that far into it yet, I have had some odd cravings. I remember with Ike I ate everything. It all tasted good, especially that fatty stuff. So far this pregnancy I had and still have the craving for steamed zucchini and yellow squash for almost every meal it seems like. I finish a cucumber each day and love my pickles. The funniest craving I had this week was for pintos and cheese from Taco Bell. OK I haven't eatin Taco Bell since middle school. So last night I went and finally got a pintos and cheese. Tasted alright, not as good as my mind made it to be and now that craving has passed. So weird, maybe my body was just wanting some protein.

Good Bye 2009

It has been a busy couple of months. I know I am behind on my blogging but I am hoping this will catch us up to date. We started off holidays with Grandma Audrey's 75Th birthday party. We all pitched in to make it a great party. Thanksgiving we spent the day with the Radford's. Food of course was always good. I made the pumpkin pies this year from scratch. The easiest part was boiling and smashing the pumpkin. They tasted so good. The evening finished off with the most important part, the black Friday ad event. We scope out all the ads and hit the sales asap. Some started at midnight and other didn't start till 6am. It is an all night event. Unfortunately I was unable to attend but I was able to meet up with everyone the next morning. We finished it off with leftovers and games.
Dave and Erin came to Utah this year for the holidays. They had to go to Vegas for her friends wedding so we took Royal for the weekend. He was so much fun and so entertaining. Ike couldn't get enough. They played hard and slept well. It was so nice!
Christmas Eve we spent the evening with the Radford's and did our gift exchanges. My mom flew in that night but we didn't meet up with everyone till the next morning.
We got to try Erin's fabulous sour dough pancakes and just hang out. Dinner was at the Linthorst's and finished off with a fun game of White Elephant exchange. New Years for us this year was real mellow. It was just Coleman, my mom, and myself. Ike was in bed early due to lack of a nap. We ordered out Chinese and played card games. It was a perfect end to a busy week.

We are excited for the New Year and what is has to bring. We hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

I love this picture...Isaac kept hiding behind Royal and whispering "hide hide." It made Roy laugh so hard.

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year. Ike was so into knocking and digging into the free candy. We were so surprised how fast he caught on. We dressed up this year too. Austin and Richard had a costume party at their house. Ike was Frankenstein, I dressed as Pocahontas and Coleman went as a thug...or Kip from Napoleon Dynamite. It was so much fun to see all the family in their costumes. We can't wait for next year!

Our Little Man is 2!

Our Little Man is 2!

I can't believe our little Ike is 2! Time goes by so fast with your kids. I miss him being a tiny baby in my arms. It definitely is fun to have a toddler around. It amazes me everyday the things they learn. His vocab is growing like crazy, he's a growing boy himself, and he loves to learn more. For his birthday we had a Monster Party. He has an obsession with Monsters Inc. right now and loves to talk about monsters. We had all the cousins over for food and games. We started off with coloring, then pin the eye on the monster, watched little sponges grow into monsters in a glass, and enjoyed cake and presents. It was so much fun to have all the family there. We love our little boy and are so proud of him.

Already knew what to do, as soon as he saw those candles they were out.

Monster cake I made for my boy (he's telling me about the monster cake as I post now)

All the kids coloring.

Sophie stuck the eyeball right on Ike's forehead.

Ike's turn...the blindfold didn't last with him.

At the end of the day he just wanted to watch Einsteins and hold his party balloons.

Summer Projects

This summer I decided to take on some home projects. I've never been a big project girl but decided it was time to test my skills. I learned how to use a sewing machine, which may sound weird to all your amazing women that a 25 year old women is just learning how to use one. It was a challenge but I really do enjoy it now. My first project thanks to my sister in law Erin, was this baby quilt. It turned out so darling and I was so excited to see it completed. I then tried my painting skills and made a magnet board. Later I was at Anthropologie and came across the cutest fabric letters. I decided I would take on the task and make my own. It was so easy and turned out so cute! The latest project was I to reupholster a chair. I know sounds a little out there but with the help of Page I was able to do it and it turned out pretty good. For now I am taking a break from my projects but I am excited about my finished products.
