Tricky Treat!
A few weeks ago Adrianne showed me this really cute recipe for mini caramel apples. I decided to test them out and see how they held up. They turned out so cute and so yummy. I had chocolate dipped, peanut butter dipped, white chocolate dipped, and caramel dipped apples. I rolled them and drizzled them with everything yummy. I stumbled upon one problem...why didn't the caramel stay on the apples? It slid off to puddle at the base of the apples. I believe they won't stick because there are no skins on the apple. I used a melon baller to get the tiny apple. Everything else took very well. Anyone have any advice on keeping the caramel on the apple? They are very delicious and were fun to make.

Amanda...I hope you don't mind but I'm going to add u to my blog of friends!! I love those carmel apples! They look so yummy! And I wanted to see if you wanted to train with our group for a marathon!!! I know you can do it!
Cute apples! I made them once(big apples with skins) and had the same problem...so no advice from me! If you figure it out let me know!
It was good to see you and Isaac this weekend...
Cute! I'm totally going to make some of these! I've made full size apples a few times and I make caramel covered pretzel rods every year at Christmas time. 2 suggestions...
1. Buy good caramel! Cash and Carry has a caramel log especially made for dipping and it is soooo good!! Look for dipping caramel, not the individually wrapped kind made for eating.
2. Don't overheat the caramel. It really doesn't have to be piping hot to dip... just medium warm. You also avoid scorching by not overheating the caramel.
Hope this helps! Good luck :)
