I have been keeping myself busy through the summer getting the baby's room ready. We moved into this house in February and the spare room was an old school den. The challenge of this room was its walls were covered in old school wood paneling. We didn't want to spend much money on remodeling so we decided to go with paint. I wanted to have my glider reupholstered but I am happy with the final product. I also started another quilt from fat quarters my sister-in-law sent me last year. I just added a few fat quarters of pink and found a cute new pattern. I finally finished the quilt top and found my back fabric. It's being quilted right now so I don't have a picture of the final product but its pretty close.
We are getting excited for this little girl to come. I am being induced on Tuesday the 27Th, one week from today. I am so ready and done being prego. I lucked out and got to go in the day after my birthday so we wont have to share the same birthday.
We are getting excited to see all the family that is coming to town in a few weeks.
Hope everyone has a great week and hopefully the next post will be of our little girly!

This is my quilt top with the backing fabric. I am so excited to see the finished product!

A little bigger picture of what the quilt top looks like. I used 18 different fat quarter fabrics.

OMG I can't believe the difference in the room! I LOVE it! I can't wait to see the finish product of your quilt. It seems surreal that you will be having a baby in 1 week. I can't wait for you! I might try to call you a day or 2 before your b-day before things get really crazy!
Sharing birthdays is the best!! Why would you not want that?? We were one day off with Sawyer being born on Jay's birthday, but we still celebrate them together!! Hope all goes well...can't wait to see her!!
You did a great job. I was frantically trying to finish our baby room, too, and I barely made it since he was so early. I didn't want to share birthdays, either, and we just missed Brady's birthday and I was glad. Good luck next week. I can't wait to see her!
Nice work Amanda!! That room looks great!!! I love huge transformations like that...doesn't it feel great!!! Good luck with finishing up all your projects and getting ready!!
