New York New York!

Our trip to New York was amazing. Wes and Page took us back to see Coleman's mission and for some site seeing. It was so cool, so much bigger than I thought and millions of people. We were able to go to a few Spanish speaking wards on Sunday and see some of the old members Coleman knew from his mission. We were able to visit one of his converts Alberto. Alberto and his daughter Rosa lived in Brooklyn. They were so nice to let us come to visit them. Rosa has lived in the US for 1 year. She moved to Brooklyn from Columbia and has been learning English. We were all very impressed with her English. We hope they come to visit us soon!
We were able to visit so many things. I would have to say my favorite part was the Broadway show Xanadu with Whoopi Goldberg as the guest for the month of August. It was hilarious. I was crying from laughing so hard the entire time. It was definitely a must see!
I won't go into detail with everything so here are all the fun pictures we took. It was definitely worth every penny. We are glad we went, sad to leave Ike behind, but grateful for the experience.

Coleman and I at Serendipity's..the biggest desserts ever.
They had a $22 banana split..we got the cowards portion for half the price and it was still huge.

Dylan's candy bar...so much candy!

Wes and the first hot dog of many to be eatin from the vendors.

The view from our hotel on 40th and 5th ave.

We went to Madame Tussaud's Wax museum in Time Square..pretty amazing wax figures. Elton John was my favorite.

Jessica Simpson looked pretty real.

Coleman and his girl Jennifer Aniston.

Coleman was a speedy the whole time..always 20 feet in front of us.

We stayed 3 blocks from the Empire State Building.

We took this night harbor tour of the island and this was a cool view of where the twin towers use to be...there is just a big whole between the buildings. Construction on the new ones have already started and are suppose to finish 2012.

Famous Coney Island on the beaches of Brooklyn.

This wall mural was cool and really colorful.

The temple was built inside an office building. The first two floors are chapels and the temple are the last few floors.

It's been a fun month so far...I can't believe its almost September already. I am looking forward to the fall. At the beginning of the month we attended Coleman's cousins wedding. Josh and Sydney were married on 08-08-08. It was a fun weekend. We went bowling down at BYU for the rehearsal dinner and the reception was held at his Uncle Tyler's house. It was fun to have all the family together.
The following day I met up with my old roommate Julianne. It's been awhile since we have seen each other. She lives in Switzerland with her husband Etienne so we don't ever get to see each other. It was so much fun to catch up! I miss her already. Etienne has family in Italy so one weekend they went to visit. Etienne is very into football (soccer) and they went to play at a popular park. While they were there they ran into two missionaries. One of them happened to be the Gresham, OR. Julianne had remembered that I was from there and asked if he happen to know Amanda Linthorst. Of course he did...it was Mike Hill. It was so awesome. He wrote her a note to give Coleman and I when she came to see us. It was awesome. (Thanks Mikey...welcome home!!!)
Here are a few pictures from the wedding and Juliane and myself. Next will be our fun trip to New York...stay tuned!

Pioneer's Day and Amanda's Birthday

We love the state of Utah for the one Holiday no one else celebrates..Pioneer Day! It was a great day full of events. We woke up super early that morning to head up to the University for the Pioneer Day 10k that Erin and I ran. It started at 6am and went through out the city. It was a great accomplishment. I am ready for another one! Later that day we prepped for the family bbq at our house. We had the whole Radford family over and later Dave, Erin, Roy, Jay and Heather joined the fun. The food was good and the weather what hot. Later that night the Linthorsts, Rickers and our fam headed up to the top of Foothill and watched the Fireworks through out the valley. It was a beautiful night and just a little breezy.

Saturday was my 24Th birthday "on in July" (that's for you Dave). Earlier in the week we celebrated by going to the Colbie Caillat and John Mayer Concert. Isaac stayed the night with Grandma Page and did really well. It was awesome. I love watching John Mayer and he is so dang hilarious. I have seem his once before in Portland a few years ago but this concert was even better. Can't wait for him to visit again!
Saturday afternoon all the Linthorsts, Rickers, and Radfords came and joined us for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was great and thanks for all coming! Then we finished off the bday with a stop in at the Nordstrom Sale. I have to say this year was a little disappointing. We did find Isaac a pair of converse and I found a shirt and jeans. Thanks for all the birthday wishes and hope everyone has a great week.

Isaac being his usual serious face.

Ok this lady was crazy. She was in her late 30's and rocked out like it was the AC DC concert. I know the picture does not do justice. She kept grabbing her date and acting like she was spanking him and then would go back to rockin out. It was hilarious!

I thought this was a cool picture of Usana Ampitheater

Here is a clip for everyone to listen to.

Isaac was really into the lemons.

Just thought I would end with this..he loves his backyardigans!

4th of July Weekend

We had such a great fourth of July. All the family was in town and even some old friends. We started off the week with the arrival of grandma Mary and Angelie. Ange came from Holland, engaged! She will be getting married next April here in Salt Lake. We are excited for the wedding to come. You will all have to ask how the engagement happened..quite the story! On Friday the 4Th we spent the morning and afternoon with the Linthorsts. We all went up to "This is the Place" Park. It was my first time going up and looking around. We had lunch and road the trains. Later we met up with the Radfords at Grandma Audrey's house for a BBQ and the Sandy City parade. The fireworks came later that night and were shot over City Hall. They were pretty good!

Saturday we met up with Coleman's old friend Guy who was in town from Houston, and Jay and Heather. We went out and played frolf, had some dinner, and they played ping pong till late into the night. Guy and Allison and their little boy Brayden stayed with us that night. Sunday morning we all headed over to the Radfords for Grandma Page's dang good Crepes. Overall it was a very fun weekend.

June

The summer has been busy with all the family and friends in town. It finally got hot and all we have been doing is playing in the sun. Isaac is getting into everything, trying to grab anything in reach of his fingers on every table, and loving all the cousin fun. We have gone to Cottonwood Heights pool a few times and then up to Park City for fathers day. It's been such a fun summer.

The Radfords were officially here as of the last week of June. We have loved having them so close. We got them all moved in and settled. Austin and Richard had their little baby boy Monday, June 23rd. They named him Ethan Richard. A very cute boy with a head full of hair. We are so excited for another Radford cousin. I will post the 4Th of July weekend photos next. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great July!

Isaac zonked out at the pool...he can only handle so much fun!
